However, a great tragedy occurs on the first day they spend in the town. Inspector Okan's wife and son died at the same time in an accident while driving to the market. After this tragedy, Okan is taken to the tavern by his childhood friend, an alcoholic Serdar. They spend a long night there with Sedat, who is a victim like himself, and Kazim and Serdar, who cannot bear the weight of their sins. After a while, Muhsin, the respected philosophy teacher of the town, unexpectedly comes to the table.
