About : In the mid-1920s, Cevat Şakir, also known as Halikarnas Balıkçısı (Fisherman of Halikarnassus), was sentenced to death for an article he wrote in a magazine and exiled to Bodrum. Instead of languishing in prison, he embarked on a new life thanks to the friendly hand extended by the district governor. He left his past behind and erased his name from memory. He revitalized the barren lands with seeds he brought from all over the world, initially met with skepticism but eventually winning the hearts of the people of Bodrum. He discovered ancient cities and the beauty of the sea, inviting writers and artists to transform a quiet town into a cultural haven. Filos tells the story of a man's struggle to transform nature, society, and his own life.
