In the documentary, different generations of women share their experiences and give a voice to Black women who are constantly silenced, ignored, or censored. During the documentary, Toya Forbes talks about her life experiences and challenges with her natural hair. She candidly stated, "I did not know if I would be able to get different jobs or be able to be in corporate professional settings." The documentary showcases how beauty and professionalism don't have to be defined by the status quo. It also reveals that racial discrimination and bullying come not only from non-Black people but are also deeply rooted in the Black community.
