It all started in the basement of the Animal House set, where the Toga Party was being filmed with the Northwest's top Blues and Jazz musicians performing as Otis Day's Knights. Later that night, the cast and crew from Animal House followed Bluesman Robert Cray to The Eugene Hotel where he was playing in a splinter group called The Crayhawks with Blues Harp player Curtis Salgado. Before long, Curtis and Belushi became fast friends. But, it was the documentary's filmmaker who pushed Belushi onstage to sing "Hey Bartender" on Halloween, October 31st, 1977.
