Ashley Victoria Robinson was born and raised in various cities across Canada. Her father was in the Canadian military and her mother works for the Canadian government. She attended the University of Ottawa before moving to Los Angeles to study at AMDA: College and Conservatory of the Performing Arts. She lives and works in Los Angeles.
