• About Erik Bork

Erik Bork started his career at Tom Hanks’s production company, where he helped write and produce the HBO miniseries From the Earth to the Moon and Band of Brothers, both of which led to an Emmy Award for Outstanding Miniseries. He's written original pilots and screenplays for such companies as Playtone, Imagine, Sony, Universal, HBO, NBC and Fox. He’s taught screenwriting at the MFA level, wrote the book The Idea: The 7 Elements of a Viable Story, and consulted on dozens of projects including the Emmy-winning documentary A Lion in the House. In 2025 he released his feature debut as a writer-director, The Elephant in the Room.
