• About Annika Marks

Annika Marks is an actor, writer and producer, best known as Monte Porter on Freeform's "The Fosters." As a writer, she's worked on dozens of projects for a long list of production companies, studios and streamers, including Lionsgate, Sony, NBC-Universal, Tribeca, Higher Ground and Paramount+. Her first feature, "Killing Eleanor," which she wrote, produced and starred in, premiered at the 2020 SCAD Savannah Film Festival, where it won Best Narrative Feature. Her follow-up feature, "Adult Children," premiered at the 2025 Bentonville Film Festival, where it won a Special Jury Award for Best Ensemble, followed by its international premiere at the Galway Film Fleadh, where it won Best Independent International Film. Marks was named a 2025 Climate Storytelling Fellow through NRDC's Re-Write the Future program with her third feature "The Tipping Point." Marks is an alum of the Women In Film Mentoring Program and a graduate of the Circle in the Square Theatre Conservatory in NYC.
