CLAUDIA CIFUENTES is a New York-based writer, director, and producer developing a slate of character-driven film and television through her production banner, Tropica Films. Her work blends sharp comedic sensibility with emotionally grounded storytelling, often exploring ambition, family, and identity through visually rich, character-driven narratives. Cifuentes began her career working alongside director Michael Mann and producer Lynda Obst, experiences that shaped her commitment to ambitious, filmmaker-driven storytelling. She later returned to New York to build Tropica Films as a home for original film and television projects with global reach. Her debut feature After the Wedding screened at festivals including the Bahamas International Film Festival. A graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Cifuentes lives in New York City, where she continues to develop new projects as both a filmmaker and producer.
